Fishing in Croatia: Fangbait 140 SR Pike Limited

Fangbait 140 SR in Fang Tiger colour is my first choice this fall

This autumn I had a small number of outings on the lakes or rivers in search for pike. Even in this few fishing days I had a chance to prove myself that Fangbait 140 SR in Fang Tiger color is still my new favorite pike lure.

The love that started this spring is still present now in the autumn. The most of this fishing trips we were fishing from kayaks or from the boat on some lakes here in Croatia where it is allowed to. On most of the lakes use of boat or kayak is forbidden, but every year situation is liberalized and more lakes are open for this approach.

The way I walk this lure is maybe not well presented in the video, since I’m making a lot of twitches and pauses together with constant retrieving with different speed. Like always, we have to adapt to the situation on the water. Chose the right place where you think the pike is waiting for the prey and dance with your lure on the way that will trigger attack. Sounds easy, but pike is strange animal. Sometimes will attack so aggressively and you will have a dozen of bites in a day, and sometimes the time frames of active feeding is so short. Like one hour in the morning and one hour later afternoon. Of course, when you have limited number of fishing days like me, chance to have crazy good day is very small. Than even one or few bites is enough to warm the soul of the angler.
