Jerremy Akiyama: Conditions improving

On a perfectly rough day where anglers “would” or “should” stay home and play with their fishing tackle or their kids, we were out on the rocks again trying to find the black fin. With a few good catches on previous days, we were hopeful to catch a heap of fish on this day as well, but fishing is fishing. We came home empty handed as the fishing conditions improved in some areas but overall still not in the best of shapes….

A couple of days later though, the beach walker series were at it again hanging from the mouth of yet another unfortunate black fin.

The Beach Walker Haul series was again developed for the flat fish but with its totally different consept, shape, material, swimming depth and action response, its something new for the local black fin to see. I have been having good responses from various fish even after presenting them with the usual minnows or top water hard plugs and getting no response and once I change it to the soft plastic, bang.

Still, can’t leave home without my Realis Jerkbait series.
